Wondering if anyone's boxer has this?? We noticed a gray spot on surface of Lily's eye (cornea) a few weeks ago. We took her to a dog eye doctor, just wanted a definate answer then going to a regular vet. He said it was an corneal erosion that was healing, although still there today, I am sure it will take awhile. Also when observing her and checked both eyes, the same eye he said she had corneal lipidosis dystrophy. He said it is inherited, there are tiny fat deposits in her eye. He said there was no treatment and it is not affecting her eyesight at all. But sometimes the other eye can get it too. I think they only do surgery if it is really bad. I read there are 3 different kinds of dystrophy. The one Lily has is caused by fat deposits, does that mean I have to change her diet?? The doctor didn't mention anything about it, I read somewhere you can. Or they can have elevated cholesterol levels? I don't see any previous posts about this, just wanted to talk to someone that has dealt with this. I was told she is fine and the dystrophy that she has most likely won't affect her vision.
