Has anyone tried any of these? I need something to relax Ali during the work day so that he doesn't experince anxiety while I'm gone. Some days he is okay but other days he is wild and tears up any and everything. Yesturday he tore up one of my tennis shoes beyond repair for the first time. Please let me know.

Hmm...that doesn't sound like seperation anxiety, but rather typical bored Boxer behavior (sorry to say!). Have you crate trained him and, if so, have you expanded his freedom slowly to all areas of the house?

Outside of that, I would recommend (obviously) putting all valuables out of his reach, and exercise exercise exercise!! Make sure that he gets plenty of exercise and is tired when you leave. A bored Boxer is a bad Boxer ;)

I totally agree with the nedd to up the exercise.
I have tried the Comfort Zone and saw absolutely no results. (Mine was for storm fears). Still I think it is an individual thing. I know it has worked for some.

Yea your right

I do need to give him more exercise, that would probably settle him down alot I just don't have the time. Well I guess I could be doing that instead of doing this. Any hoot what about getting him neutered, I hear that will settle him down too is that right?

i neutered my puppy about 2 months ago and he hasn't slowed down one bit! he goes nuts too when he's by himself. i can't even take a shower without him getting into something. when we would leave and not put him in his kennel he used to pp all over the house which i read can be a form of separation anxiety. we just started putting him in his kennel and well that stopped all the messing in the house and ripping pillow stuffing out. i was curious about giving him something like that also. he hates being in his kennel but that's my only option when i'm at work. he's already chewed parts of it and the wires are not attached anymore.

I hate to say it but you are going to have to make the time unless you don't mind this behavior.;) Boredom is the root of all evils:LOL:
Also ...neuter, neuter, neuter.. This will not neccesarily calm him down, he's bored remember, but it will reduce the chances of him getting certain diseases among many other postive reasons. Research this just a little and I'm sure you will decide this is in your's and your baby's best interest. don't wait too much longer to do this as his risks increase the longer it is not done.
