I've seen a couple of profiles of people from Columbus, Ohio on here. I was wondering if you guys have any suggestions on where to take Cortes for some good playtime. It would need to be fenced in as he's only 7 months and I don't trust him off leash yet. Thanks for any suggestions.

I just move from Columbus to Pataskala. I still work in Columbus and my mom and dad still live there. I am only 20 minutes away from downtown Columbus so it is not a hike.

We never really took Cody to any parks because he was anti social. I would love to take Duke though. Duke is also 7 months old. We should try to get them together sometime.

I would love for Cortes to be able to play with another Boxer. I'm actually almost in Hillard. Any suggestions for where we could get them together. I live in an apartment, so I would love to find somewhere with at least a little bit of room.

We have a big yard but unfortunately it is not fenced. Duke will not run as long as there is another dog around.

My sisters bf takes his lab to several dog parks around Gahanna/New Albany Area I think. I will double check on that tom.

I am not for sure, but I think we used to take Cody to Antrum when we lived near OSU.

Are you from Hilliard/Columbus?

I'm not from Columbus, but from around Athens, OH (near Ohio University). My husband and I moved to Columbus because I'm going to law school at Ohio State.

I've heard of people taking their dogs to Antrim Park, but as its not fenced I've been concerned about taking him there. Cortes, unfortunatley, is not going to be able to meet any new boxers for a while. He gat a bad case of diarehhea (sp?) today and I took him to the vet and he colitis. So now he is restricted to a diet of boiled chicken and rice along with taking antibiotics, kaopectate, and another medicine for his tummy. Hopefully it was just the new treat I had given him, but until we figure this out I don't want to expose him to other dogs or other dogs to him.

I am in Westerville. The are working on a dog park here that is "supposed" to be opening up this fall. It will be located just off of 270, in Brooksedge. If you know where the Bank One building is that you can see on 270 heading West from Westerville that is the area.

There is also a dog park in Dublin. I don't know it's exact location. I am sure that Dublin's Visitors Center can fill you in on specifics. I do know by word of mouth that you have to be a member of the park, make appointments to take your dog there, and they have pretty specific rules. There is also a pretty long waiting list, again per word of mouth.

It would be great to have a mini-boxer bash in the area. I will keep checking on the Westerville opening and post as soon as I hear anything.
