I am a married 33 year old in Colorado Springs and have had my Boxer now for 5 months. She's been a wonder and a joy (most of the time, whenever she's not eating everything in site) and I am glad to have got her. She's a little bundle of energy and smart as a whip. We've got her graduating from both puppy kindergarten and Click-A-Trick and are taking a little time until we get her into advanced training. Eventually, we'd like to get her to be a therapy dog and into either agility or flyball training. We were thinking of putting her into a lure type class but we feel it would trigger her hunting abilities and she would chase and eat the cats (of which we have 2).
Tsura (my female Boxer) means girlfriend in Bosnian (if you spell it the correct way it is Cura). I spent a year in Bosnia and had a pet Pekingese <sp?> but airline regulations in Germany wouldn't allow for me to bring him home with me so I had to leave him with an adoptive family in Switzerland (long story). I missed having him so after awhile I decided to get my Boxer (a dog I've always liked and read about). Best choice I ever made, great dog.
So that's it from me. I'll be checking in on BW every once in awhile whenever we have problems with the pooch. Right now she just has separation anxiety which is causing her to be destructive when we're gone. Fortunately, the most expensive item she's damaged was our wireless phone but I know one of these days she'll hit something more expensive.
