Colorado Boxer Bash !!!!!

I am up here in Grand Junction, Colorado and I think it is about time for us Coloradoians to have a boxer bash. I will be down to Denver with my girls Bailey and Riley the weekend of August 25-26 and my girls need a bash!! Anyone know of some good dogs parks in the Denver area? I have a web page with all the parks on it so if no one knows of a good one I will do some calling around. Come on people, lets get together for some boxer fun!!!! Good luck on putting your bash together. i think your girls need a bash too since they can't attend ours. maybe some time in the furture in the mean time I hope they have one there. Maybe you can invite the ones down the block from you and then there were 3. Good luck let me know how it goes. I'll post tomorrow and let you know how ours goes.

Thanks for the support houseofski !! Denver is about 4 hours away from me so I don't know if our neighbors will want to do the drive but my mom and her Boxer girl Annie will be going us. I am actually going to be in Denver that weekend for the Ho-Bo boxer rescue's annual picnic. So I will have two boxer filled days and I think my girls are really excited too. Let's hope I hear from at least a couple Coloradoians on this. Other wise we are hopeing to do a rode trip out to Cali next summer and we may just show up to one of yours!!!

Bailey and Riley's mom: thanks so much for trying to put this together. I adopted my Luna from HoBo, and had no idea they had a picnic. I would love to come. Do you have more info? I will put those dates on my calender. Can't wait to meet all of you.

That is great, the HoBo picnic is the 25 of August and I will be there so I thought a bash on the 26 would make for a boxer filled weekend. If you could offer me any help with this I would just love you for it. Since I am in Grand Junction and this is the first bash I am trying to put together I need all the help I can get. I will email you as soon as I know when I might get a boxer. I am looking into a grown dog and if that doesn't come through I probably will get a puppy. I am hoping to get my dog at the beginning of Aug, but obviously that depends on what I find. I would really like to see you guys at the bash. Please cross your fingers that I will have a dog to bring.

I have thought about that. I rescued a white boxer from the Dallas boxer rescue and it kind of made me scared to do it again. He was not a healthy dog (and they lied to me, but I know that was just one person and one incident). I have a had a run of bad luck when it comes to health and my dogs. I am going to look into hobo rescue though. I did check out the website and I thought I should wait until I can actually get a dog to call. I know I would call and find the dog I want and it would be gone when I get back from Florida. (I am going on vacation for 9 days at the end of July and then I want to get one).

You need to call them to get an application going though, it takes a while to get approved and you don't need to have a dog in mind but when you get back from vacation and you do fall in love with a certain dog you won't have to get through all the red tape because you can have that done ahead of time.
