Clover's Mom

Super Boxer
So yes I am a very bad mommy smashicon smashicon but I also can't help to be a little frustrated with Clover as she is well aware of the "rules" rulesicon and is usualy pretty good (excpet for eating underwear . Yesterday she had daycare, and was extremely tired, grin2icon good for me because I had about 13 gift baskets to make, 5 types of cookies to bake and some painting to do. Clover was passed out on the bed, when I came in around 11:30 to finally get some sleep. Around 3am I awoke to a crunching noise, I walk out into the living room and there is Clover happily chewing a one of the gift baskets evilicon (they were all pushed far back on the counter), I take it away from her, tell her "no, chew on your own toy" (remember I'm still half asleep) and I give her a bully stick. As I'm walking into the kitchen I stub my foot on something, yes it was the acrylic red paint tube, I then turn on the dinning room light to see the my dinning room looks like a murder scene! Bright red Santa paint is everywhere - on the walls, windows, and the worst part on the white carpet. I also noticed she decided she like the pumpkin spice cookies and the snickerdoodle cookies, she ate about 1/2 dozen of those. nonoicon I then notice as I'm making my way to the kitchen that she also got ahold of the holly green paint, because my dinning room also looks like an alien murder scene! Now we have a very tall bistro (bar) style table, and the paint's where in the middle in a basket. I'm still trying to figure out how she got up there as all the chairs where pushed in  and she isn't tall enough yet to get to the middle of the table. So I spent 3 hours this morning cleaning my carpet, most of it is out, there are only 4 BIG spots left. But Clover sure does have a sour tummy this morning :( Luckily she didn't get the chocolate cookies! I felt bad that I had to come into work instead of staying home to make sure she's okay...

She also did the "I don't know what happened, mommy, I swear" look queenicon - but her bright red and green paws gave it away. Now that was a trick to get it off!

Sorry just needed to vent about how I really should of stored everything away in the cabinet.

Oh man, what a sight to be woken up to. Just yesterday, Heidi got into a jar of honey..I have no idea how she got it out of the cabinet other than one of the kids must have left the door open. I was fixing supper and saw her chewing on something and sure enough she had the cap off (it was a plastic honey bear bottle) and was going to town on that thing. I am so glad she takes everything she wants to eat over to a little throw rug so there was no damage to my carpet! Anyway, that's my story and I thought it was bad...I'm glad you posted your story today now, mine doesn't seem so bad! Maybe Clover would like to take up painting and start on some arts and crafts! Just kidding...I hope you can get the rest of the stains out of your carpet!

OMG, I would have had a nervous breakdown! Although since Farley is white it probably would have been pretty funny to see him covered in red and green paint. I hope the paints were non-toxic?

Yes thank goodness - it's the Deco Art, Americana Acrylic Paint.

It claims it has soap and water clean up, except on carpet, then it just smears!

nonoicon Sounds like someone's been a very bad little girl !! Hahahaha!!!
She must've been wide awake & ready for mischief since she had a nice long nap on the bed while you were baking & fixing your gift baskets! Too funny!

;)

Glad she's okay tho after eating paint and a ton of cookies.. :)

Oh man! What a thing to have to deal with at 3am! I feel for you but I'm sorry I could help but imagine all of that and had to laugh!! Give Clover a hug for me for her upset tummy.

After reading that the paint was non-toxic, I have to say that is
hysterical and you gave us such a visual. I do feel so bad for you
and all the work but I just keep imagining that "I don't know what
happend, Mommy" look... and can't help but giggle.

Clover is just beautiful... They make it so hard to get angry
with those smoochy faces.
