Just noticed one on Bart's shoulder day before yesterday. I am watching it closely. We have a vet appointment in a couple of weeks for neutering.
If it begins to grow i will take him to the vets immediately.
Well I've given it a week, and the lump is no longer soft, it is now hard and it doesn't move. Depending on how Clover is lying you can either see it or you can't, but you sure can feel it.
Any advice before I call the vet?
I just caught this thread. I am not sure what it means that the lump got hard but i would guess it is a good sign that it may not be anything too serious. I am no expert though. I would give the vet a call. We are keeping out paws crossed that it is nothing. Please let us know what the vet says.
Perhaps it was a bad bruise and the lump was blood. Maybe she got bumped by another dog at daycare or ran into something while playing and it caused the lump. Just a thought...Of course, you did say it didn't seem to bother her when you touched it. I hope you get your answers soon.
I just caught this thread, I'm sorry to hear about your troubles!
I looked a 'hard lump' up and it told me that usually hard lumps on dogs are just fatty BENIGN tumors called Lipomas. I don't know if that is what Clover has, but I'd take her to the vet just to be sure that all is well!
Keep us updated if you can and Asia sends Clover kisses!
