Gosh, that must have been such a traumatic event for all of you! Thank heaven things turned out OK! You know, this is one reason why I am such a big fan of harnesses. For some reason they're not as popular as collars, but I think they're great. Leeloo doesn't wear her harness around the house because I like her to be completely comfy, but even if I were to forget and just leave her harness on her while she was at home alone, she would never choke if she got caught on something.

Oh my word, what a scary story. I am so glad everything turned out well. Sending lots of wiggles and vibes your way from me and my brood.

Wow! Very scary! Our girls never have their collars on when we're not around. I was wondering, though... what about the dog park? There's some serious wrestling/play fighting that goes on there. All the dogs are always wearing collars there. I realize that the owners are not far away, but who carries scissors around with them? I wonder if I should take their collars off at the park too???

No, you really don't want them running off leash at the park without a collar. Just get a collar with the quick release plastic buckle. Then you can easily remove it, if it get caught on anything or anyone.

I have read a few horror stories about collars and have never used them unless we are going for a walk. hope both your 'babies' get over their ordeal soon (bet the recover sooner than you lol).

That must have been so terrifying. I am glad that Berkley is ok. I'm sure it was scary for them both, as well as you and your wife. Glad there was a happy ending!
