Does anybody have any suggestions for how to clean Kongs out. The peanut butter just doesn't seem to want to come out.

I soak them in soap and water for a bit then use a bottle brush. I mostly put them in the dishwasher, but after all the "gunk" is out.

I usually scrape them with a butter knife and then clean them by hand using a toothbrush. If my husband forgets to about the treat he gave Nestle, it needs some soaking.

Ditto to what robinette said! A baby bottle brush works the best. I don't have a dishwasher...unless you count my 13yr old and 17yr old! :D

When I change toothbrushes every three months I use the old ones to clean out Beasley's Kongs. You can also put them in the dishwasher on the top rack - and the water temp of the dishwasher will also kill any bacteria inside.

We clean the same way most of the previous posters do, but after its all clean, I boil it in beef stock. It gives it a yummier taste.
