What's the best way to clean Kongs?

I recently got two for our babies and put peanut butter in them. They loved them! However, their tongues pushed some of the peanut butter up to the top of the inside where they couldn't reach it. So I ran it through the dishwasher, which got some of it out, but not all.

So, what are some of the tricks to cleaning Kongs? Old toothbrush, baby bottle brush cleaner, what?

Thanks!

I used a bottle brush. You can bend these to fit the contour, then pop it in the dishwasher

I usually put mine in the microwave for about a minute standing up on a plate it melts the peanut butter and gravity takes care of the rest. Then it's in the dishwasher for a good rinse. Seems to work fine. Be careful it can be hot though.

I'm glad you asked that, Amanda. I've always had a problem getting the PB out of Duchess's Kong. I never thought about a bottle brush. DUH!
