Update On Bossk's condition
thanks to everyone for your comments and for keeping Bossk in your thoughts.
we took him today to get the ultrasound and it is a spleen tumor. It is a fairly small one according to the vet doing the ultrasound. And he said it had bled and that was the cause of Bossk's problem Monday. He said Bossk's tongue and gums looked well today, so overall it was a small bleed, but his spleen needed to be removed asap to prevent another one.
anyway, Bossk is now at our vet's office for an overnight stay and then he will operated on tomorrow to remove his spleen. They did a tap? I think that is what they called it, to make sure he wasn't bleeding right now. And it wasn't.
The vet said he could still have smaller tumors that can't be seen but getting the spleen out is the first step. And of course there is that glorious possiblity it is benign and is the only tumor. So please continue to send healing vibes Bossk's way. Hopefully, they can get this offending organ out and he'll be back to his old self in no time.

Surgery Update
Bossk made it through the surgery and the vet said he is in recovery now. The surgery took a bit longer than he had expected. He said they will keep him until tomorrow and hopefully then he'll get to come home. He said that Bossk tried to bite so he joked that he must be feeling alittle better. Bossk is a notoriously bad patient, unless he's really sick.
So that's some good news. I know he's still not well and he has to start eating again and get through recovery, but I'm glad everything's went well so far. As far as what kind of tumor, I suppose we'll find out soon enough.

My Zachary passed away in March due to a ruptured tumor on his spleen or kidney, unfortunatley his tumor was so large that the blood filled his abdomen. There was so much blood in his abdomen that the vet could not tell if it was a tumor on the spleen or liver. She also aspirated blood from his abdomen and when it didn't clot in the syringe, she came to the diagnosis of Hemangiosarcoma. I thank God every day that I was home when Zachary collapsed.
