wnt2adpt: Your pup is a doll!! I have not learned how to do those messages yet either, I am a bit dumb when it comes to computers. We are about 15 minutes from Cool Springs. We would love to meet up to play!! We go to Maggie's Bark Park sometimes!! I am a stay home mom so any days I can do whatever and Killian LOVES other dogs!
Last X-mas, we only had Nestle. She was fine with all the gifts under the tree for about 3 weeks (wrapped early) but 2 days before X-mas, she opened EVERY gift under the tree. Note: it was my son's first X-mas so there were a gazillion gifts under that tree. Now we keep her gated in the kitchen with Porter and they have a doggie door.
Both of my babies are afraid of gates so I plan on getting a little gate to put around the tree to protect the whole crew (skin kid included). You could also try gating your baby out of the room with the tree.

I got Beau in November as soon as I moved into my new apartment. I have a fake tree and I resorted to putting it up in the waiting room at work! Beau was wild, so I knew better than to risk having it in my apartment. I'll be moving into a house this November, so hopefully, I'll be able to put my tree in a room that can be blocked off with baby gates! I'm looking forward to having my Christmas tree at home this year!

On a Christmas related note, a few hours after we got our Christmas tree last year, Owen's face got puffy. I thought it was from a new rubber ball, a new food storage container, or a slight change in his food, but it didn't go away until the tree did?!?! I didn't think it was the tree because Owen had picked up a scrap of pine from my wreath (Different Tree) in his mouth with no reaction. I'm hoping to have allergy tests done before Christmas, but it looks like plastic Christmas for me :( . I never thought about him being allergic to a TREE!!!! I guess I forgot, he's not a dog; he's a BOXER.

my xmas tree has alot of memories for me as do the ornaments - it was my mum's tree and we went shopping together for it and the ornaments so when i put it up it brings back lovely memories of her so if it or the ornaments were damaged i don't know how i would react and i just love christmas the more decorations the better. anyway we brought some lattace and i painted it red and green and hubby attaches to the door frame (don't use this door very often) and it becomes a pen around the tree i just have to make sure it is off to the right because Brandy will stand on the lounge and stretch to get an ornament. cheeky girl that she is - we found this worked well - it also protects the pressies. i have a picture in my photo gallery if you want to have a look.
