Christmas Tree fencing

I have posted a couple of pictures in my gallery of my solution to boxers and Christmas trees. Hopefully they will be approved soon. Toni respects fences so I had my BF put together two pieces of lattice with hinges and we put it up blocking the tree. Toni hasn't even made an effort and she could reach it easily. Just one way to help in the Christmas tree dilema.

this too was our solution last year - i have a picture in my gallery - i think is on page 3, anyway Brandy only managed to get one or two ornaments last year so this year i moved it a little further away from the lounge she used to climb on and then stretch out till she reached the tree. this year she isn't even bothered and i am glad to say neither is little tigger - both checked it out while i was putting the tree up (we have a fake one) and thats been it thankfully.

I decided to use my xpen around my tree to block it off. So far it's working. But it doesn't look as pretty as kt_brandy's. Oh well, maybe next year I'll build one that pretty. Can't wait to see your idea Toni's mom.

i don't have this problem - are ya'lls trees real?? we have fake one - i hate it but my husband loves having a fake one (why? i really don't know cuz he doesn't help put it up or decorate it??) anyway~ my girls do the intial take of the whole thiing sniffing all the ornaments, etc. but have never tried to nab one and eat it

I thought about trying to find some kind of fencing to put around my tree. I went ahead and put the tree up last weekend and so far so good. One of our cats like to sleep under it and he is Quinsi's buddy so Quinsi just tries to get under to play with Tigger. He tried to nibble on the tree once and we told him no and he's been pretty good about it since. I don't have any decorations on it yet though so we'll see about that. It's one of those fake prelit ones.. it looks good right now without the ornaments.. kinda bland during the day when the lights aren't on though
