She has this perfect circle/ring on her belly? The ring is reddish in color and inside is off white. Feels normal just looks odd. It's a little smaller than a dime. Any ideas?

Thanks

One of my dogs has a large circle (not a perfect circle though) on the lower part his leg....close to his foot. It's about the size of a silver dollar, but it's not red. It's scabby with some bumps below the circle. It doesn't look like any of the Ringworm pictures I pulled up from online . Can it be ringworm?

I took a picture of it last night and will post it when I get home tonight.

BTW, Your case does sound like ringworm

It's possible. There are at least 3 different fungi that cause the sorts of lesions that get grouped under the heading "ringworm" and the appearance of the lesions can vary quite a lot. As the article I linked above puts is:
Dogs with ringworm often have a very characteristic set of symptoms. The classic symptom is a small round lesion that is devoid of hair. The lesion will often have scaly skin in the center. Small pustules are often found in the lesion. The lesion may start as a small spot and continue to grow in size. The lesion may or may not be irritated and itchy. The lesions are most common on the head but can also occur on the legs, feet, or tail. The condition can often appear like, and be confused with, demodectic mange. In some infections, the fungus will not be in a circle and can spread across the face or nose and look like an autoimmune disease.

Soo - it may not fit the classic ringworm model, but still may be ringworm. Best to let a vet adjudicate on it, perhaps.

UHOH....to the vet we go!!!! I didn't see the pictures of what he has, however from the description.....it sounds like ringworm.

His are little scabs (or scabby bumps) along his lower leg. Smaller than a pencil eraser- maybe half that size.

Thanks for the info

LOL - it's really hard to say from the pictures. But I think getting a vet to take a look is a good idea. After all, even if it doesn't turn out to be ringworm, it's something that shouldn't really be there.

After reading that article, I now know where she got it from. Which ticks me off.

Thank you for the info.
