Hi my name is Jason and my family has a 3 year old spayed female. We got a 4 year old male from a rescue today and shyra wont stop attacking him. We had this problem with her when she first met my daughters cat, but we broke her of that. Shyra is soooo gentle so I am dumbstruck as to why she wants to eat her new playmate. We got bronson from a local rescue and he is the most submissive dog I have ever encountered so he is not alpha. Anyone help please

She is probably just letting him know it was her home first.
I had the same problem with Sandy when Napoleon first came to our home.
Just make sure both of them know you are the alpha. It took quiet a while but with a lot of love and patience, it will work out. Mine did, now they are insepateable.
