Chicken Soup Adult Food

Axel

Boxer Buddy
When I first got Axel, I started him out on Chicken Soup Puppy from the get go. I had him on it for about 7 months until switching him to Purina Pro Plan because he would throw up ever so often after eating the Chicken Soup. Since being on Pro Plan he dosen't seem to have that problem and seems to like it much better than CS. I really like Chicken Soup and know that it is a better food but can't give it too him because of him throwing up. My question is would his stomach react the same if it were the Adult Chicken Soup food rather than the puppy food? I never tried the Adult and didn't think about it until now.

Thanks

Only one way to find out ;) LOL

Really, it depends on just what it was in the chicken soup that didn't agree with him. It could be that the puppy formula was simply too rich (puppy formulas tend to be incredibly high in protein and calcium and that's just too much for some dogs), in which case he may do just fine on the adult version.

Even if the adult formula doesn't suit him, there are other great foods you could try. Canidae and Wellness spring to mind as very popular amongst members here. Really, it comes down to the individual dog, and what suits one another may not do so well on - so you just have to try it and see.
