I am curious if anyone would like to get a group of 20 or more together in mid July in the Elgin/Algonquin area for a Boxer gathering? It would be a good time and I'm sure our four legged kids would have fun too.

We're in Chicago, but we'd make the drive out. Chula doesn't get to play with many boxers, so it'd be a real treat. It seems like everyone in the city has labs and pugs.

Soon to be...

We are in Glen Ellyn, and willing to make a drive to Chicago or Elgin, or any other place not too far away (my husband works in Elgin, too). Here's the catch though, lol: we don't have our Boxer yet. We are waiting for 2 possible litters due the end of this month, and then of course we would have to wait 7/8 weeks to take him home. So we're looking at August. We might get lucky and come across a breeder who already has a litter, in which case we will be delighted. But if not, we'll have to wait :( We've been searching since Jan/Feb so I guess a couple extra months won't matter lol.

Btw, if anyone in the area could help us out *wink wink*, maybe they could send a PM with info?? :p

Also...

Btw, we also know someone (whom we met on here) that lives in Lisle, and I am sure she would love to have a Boxer bash :) I also recently met a family who has a 7mo Boxer, whom I could invite. If you guys decide to meet up in July, and we don't have our furbaby yet, maybe we could come down anyway? We would love to meet more Boxers!

I'm not at all familiar with the suburbs, but if someone wants to name a time and a place, we'd be interested in meeting up. Chula is five months old and a bundle of energy. She loves other dogs, so the more the merrier. If it was really hot we could meet at the Montrose dog beach if you wanted to come into the city.

Val, with or without your pup, you're more than welcome to come hang out. You'd know what you have to look forward to once you get yours. :)

This is great that we are gererating responses from people. If you don't have a Boxer currently, but are considering getting one come on out and still have a good time. If you have friends that have Boxers let them know they are welcome as well to come.

We live in Romeoville and we'd love to go! It's kind of a drive but we're willing since our puppy never gets to play with other boxers. I'm not familiar with NW burbs area. I just know of a dog park in Naperville. My boyfriend and I have goofy work schedules so it would really have to depend on when. Just let us know when and where. :)
