chicago area anyone?

Awesome - Yes I am off. I can meet you at Montrose Beach Dog Park sounds great to me at 11 a.m. This is our first time at a dog park - what are the rules? To be honest, my boyfriend and I broke up this past May - so its just Jake & I. This is the first time Jake will be around other boxers and also other dogs. I just want to make sure that follow the rules. Any tips for me?

Anyone in Northern Illinois or Southern Wisconsin interested in meeting up tommorrow Jan 1st?? The wife and I will most likely be taking Weiley to the Libertyville or Lake Forest dog park in the late morning or early afternoon.

Bring a handful of poop bags and that's about it.

It's an off leash, beach that is HUGE and so much fun to watch the babies run and play. We used to take our kids there almost every day when we lived in the city. Now we're in the burbs and they have their own backyard.

It'll either be just me with Chester or Andy and I with Chester and Bonnie. I cannot handle two boxers by myself.

There are TONS of single people there and always someone to talk to. I've met lots of friends through the city's dog parks, so don't worry about a lack of someone to talk to.

I spent Christmas in Chicago with my bf's parents!! What a great city!!!! (and don't tell anyone I said so, but so much better than Dallas (where I'm from)) - shhhh!

I didn't see any boxers though - shoulda let you guys know I was coming!

We didn't get there until about 11:20 and stayed until just after noon, but we didn't see anyone???

O-well, Bonnie and Chester had a blast anyway.

Sorry Jake & I didn't make it we had car trouble. If there is another bash Jake & I love to join in. The car trouble is fixed now - so we are good to go. Glad you had a great time!

Considering the snow we are supposed to expect in the next couple of day, I'd say, let's put off planning anything until next Monday. I know my kids hate the cold on their feet, so they wouldn't like being outside too much right now.
