Hi Everyone,

Sorry to keep you hanging. Our internet access got shut off for a few days due to a hacker!! Anyway, Chewy went to the vet on Friday. We have an excellent vet who is actually overly paranoid about lumps and bumps :) . He looked at Chewy's, and said it's just a "fibroma" which is nothing serious and they often go away on their own. He said they're almost like a wart (ooooooh, ick).

So, my boy is just fine! Yay! :D

Chewy says thanks for all the prayers and happy thoughts!

Yay Monique! I am so happy to hear that Chewy (and you) has nothing to worry about. Ginger also has a small round lump on her little toe, we're having it looked at Monday. I hope that her lump turns out the same!

Sharon, I hope that Ginger's lump also turns out to be nothing. Let me know when you find out.

Yes, I'm so happy that Chewy is ok. When I took him to the vet to get the lump looked at, I also asked the vet about a very nasty cough that Chewy just came down with. He said it's a really bad strain of Kennel Cough. I've had several fosters get KC, plus Chewy and Stella had it once before, but I have NEVER seen it this bad! He coughs so bad that he makes himself vomit. He didn't sleep at all Friday night because he couldn't stop coughing, and he can't even keep his meds down. :( But I took him in today and got an injectable anti-cough and antibiotic for him, and now he's doing better. If it's not one thing, it's another. ;)

Monique,

Glad to hear it was just a fibroma warty thing. I hope the vet visit wasn't too costly but the relief it gave you must have been worth it.;)

Oh my! I hope he's OK now! Chewy is like Hammer's idol!! LOL! My husband called earlier and asked what we gave Hammer when he got hives...I freaked (I'm out of town)! But he said he only had a few. We had some prednisone from last time, but I told him to try benedryl first, as steriods are my last choice at his age! He hasn't called me back, so I hope the benadryl worked. I'll call him before bed. I hope that Chewy gets better soon!! I'll let you know about Gingy's bump!

Mon: Yay!! So glad to hear that Chewy's bump is nothing to worry about! Peace of mind is a beautiful thing - and Buster says to remember to give him some peanut butter! (and some honey to ease his sore throat with all that coughing!) ;)

Sharon: Sending some positive vibes that Ginger's lump falls into the same category of "nothing to worry about". And poor Hammer with his hives! Maybe he was just having "sympathy bumps" so Ginger wouldn't feel all alone??? All the best to your kids and keep us posted on how they're doing. :p

Ginger's bump is the same, just a fibrous mass! Woohoo! Hammer's hives were gone by Monday AM so he must have just found a spider or something, fortunately it never got to the severity it did last time something stung him!

Yay! Glad that Ginger's bump turned out to be nothing! Way to follow Chewy's example, Ginger! And hooray for Hammer too! Good news all around!

Chewy has been getting lots of peanut butter and honey! :D
