Boxer Pal
Harley was fixed back in October and ever since he will not stop chewing on things. Let me be more specific...paper things. He completly shredded ds Cub Scouts book. He has jumped up on the fridge and tore up pictures that have been hanging there since before we had him (we have had him for 3years). My son can actually use the excuse "the dog ate my homework" because he has done that as well. Anything paper that is not glued down literally he chews up. We went on vacation and had a friend stay here to watch him and he ate the rug by the back door. Since then he has chewed up another rug also. Is he just rebelling being fixed??? He has more toys than I can count and he won't play with or chew on them, he prefers paper. I even bought him one of those Cuz balls and he is scared of it!! I don't know what to do with him!! Any suggestions????
Thanks!

Well the old saying goes " a bored boxer is a distructive boxer!" Even though he has toys comming out his ying yang, its not enough. Boxers need stimulation, and lots of exercise. If they dont they will be come distructive. Also I would recomend the NILF method, there are several threads you can search on to help you out. Do you crate him when you are gone? Kongs with frozen plain yogurt, and peanut butter, will keep him busy for some time! Long walks, one on one play time, are also essential. Keep us posted. :)
