Can anyone suggest a chew toy that is fab for a baby boxer? I am brining my boy home next week and want to make sure he has something to keep his mouth busy.

Congrats on your upcoming arrival-how exciting!! As far as chew toys, Ty has always loved his kong-it's a great purchase(Ty has 3)! He loves to eat his kibble out of it and I keep the large one stuffed with yummies in the freezer-that's a wonderful way to keep them entertained when you leave the house. He just started to chew his nylabone w/in the last 2 weeks-before that he showed no interest, but really seems to enjoy it now. He also enjoys anything rubber that squeaks and will chew/play with those for awhile. The kong is the one chewy that I trust to leave him alone in his crate with, they are quite durable. Good luck with your new baby-puppy stuff is so fun!!

Congratulations on your new baby! There are some that don't like these, but all of our dogs love the Merrick Bully Sticks and has been a savior for us and chewing. They are great, don't splinter or unroll. Don't get the cheap ones at Walmart or the rawhide chews that come unraveled. They are pretty much solid and Gretchen chews on one several times a day. We get her the 7 inch ones at Petco. She also likes anything with a squeaky in it. Just make sure it is made for dogs and is pretty heavy duty as they are strong.

keep in mind to supervise any toys that have squeakers in them. young pups can get them lodged in their throat or even ingest them.

lilliansmith go to this website http://www.nylabone.com/default.aspx?pageid=59 the puppy teething rings featured here are just great for you baby pup. I got Shakira the large set and she still loves to play with them, with all the aggressive chewing she did as a pup she was not able to chew them up. I think that you would be pleased with this particular chew toy.

We had really good luck with the puppy kong, nylabones and the chilly bone. We never left him unattended with the chilly bone but felt safe leaving him with the puppy kong.
Congratulations on your new baby!!

Thanks to eveyone :)
I went out yesterday and got him a puppy kong and a teething ring and I will probably be making another trip today and may pick up a few of the bully sticks for him.

The "Cuz" is a good toy, too. There is a white one, (the "good" Cuz) and a red one (the "bad" Cuz)
They both have little feet on them, and the red one has little horns. They are very thick, and squeek, and last a long time. They also come in two sizes.
