Changing AKC registered name

Does anyone know if this is possible? My fiance registered Pimp with AKC and registered his name as Pimp. I wanted to put a "fancy name" on his registration. Does anyone know if you can change this?

From the AKC:No change in the name of a dog registered with The American Kennel Club will be allowed to be made except for a one-time change for a dog whelped in the United States which the breeder(s) has registered with The American Kennel Club

Don't feel bad. When we registered our first boxer, we didn't realize that everyone does fancy names until we got his pedigree. So it reads all these awesome names and then it says, "Brooklyn Clyde". Well, now our newest addition to the family is "Brooklyn Side's Sir Frederick". I think we'll fit in at dog shows now if we do, indeed, show Fred.

Well mine has fancy names and Pimp. I wanted to change it to Schuberts Pimpalicious. BUt i can't change it. I guess I can't show him now either because of that.

I thought I was being real slick because I know ther are alot of Roxy's out there so I decided to name her "Roxy Diamond in the Ruff". I figured no one else would have this name and if they did it would be rejected and I would have to think of a new one. Well I was wrong. she is now "Roxy Diamond in the Ruff II"

Don't know what breed this other Roxy is but I wish I would have researched it more.

When I fillled out Tre's application for AKC, I didn't realize how important it was either... I put 'Tre Dawg Robinson'. I thought it was cute. Tre is his first name, Dawg is his middle name, and Robinson is MY last name. Kinda like filling out a birth certificate for my skin son. I thought it was hilarious. I like it.

Bru is Brutus R Boxer and Amaya is Amaya Dee Boxer. I do show them in obedience and agility and sometimes their names look funny in catalogs

Ninya is registered with her breeders kennel name since she is from show lines. She is from a litter of ten and the breeder wanted to try to give them all "ten" names. Ninya actually means full of grace so we decided on Regal's Full of Ten Der Grace

my baby's call name is Jersey.. and her show name is "Stock's Little Wiskey Girl" (stock being my last name, and hopefully a kennel name once i get started)
