So in the heat of having so much fun at out New Year's get together yesterday, my brother decided to feed my little Layla a few drops of champagne. It was a very small amount and it was diluted big time by her water, but still. I want to know if that's going to affect her? She pretty much went to sleep after that, although I am not surprised as she was up WAY past her bedtime anyway. Thanks all and happy New Year!!

No, it should not affect her since it was just a few drops in her water. We had a small get-together and someone spilt Margarita on my floor. Of course Buster was right there licking it up while I was trying to get some towels to soak it up. It didn't affect him, he was still his playful self for another couple of hours. :)

A very small amount, diluted in water probably won't do any harm. It is worth noting, however, that alcohol is toxic to dogs so it's worth being pretty careful at gatherings that nobody finds it funny to give the dog alcohol.

Thank You, Gmacleod for your response, some people think that its very funny to give their dogs alcohol & it can be very serious & even fatal.

Woah - I had no idea it was fatal to dogs. Is it an instant thing? Or it's over time? Thank you for letting me know that.
