Cat won't eat

I have a 9 year old cat and about at least a month ago I switched food which I discovered she didn't like (or I think that is the case). After noticing she had lost weight I took her to the vet, they checked her out and said she looked fine but took blood to test for hyper thyroid, diabetes and I think kidney problems. Test came back fine, so I bought a new food to try. She won't eat that either. I now have 6 different dry foods out for her and have tried 3 different wet foods. She has eated a little of 2 of the wet foods but not enough. At her vet visit, she had lost just over 2 lbs since the last time she was seen and since then she has lost almost another pound. Other than the weight loss, she acts fine. I have noticed though that she's alot more clingy to me, she sleeps either on me or next to me every night which she never did before. She usually slept with me kids. I've searched the internet and haven't had any luck so I thought I'd see if anyone here had any suggestions. This is my 10 year old daughter's cat and I don't think she could handle anything seriously being wrong with her. I'm at a loss at what to do.

For starters, was there a reason you would try to switch a 9 year old cats diet? Sounds as if the cat was doing perfectly fine on that food. You said the vet said she checked out fine as far as health goes. I would put her back on her original food and let her be.

I agree, try her back on the food she likes.

I bought new food to feed her a better food, I was feeding her Iams and thought since she's getting older a more quality food would be better for her. I've always given her different food every now and again and she's never rejected it, she actually enjoyed having something different. I didn't think she would protest it this time, I guess I'm gonna have to go back and try the Iams again.
