Cat owners: Common Cold?

Hi everyone.. My 14 year old kitty has been sneezing for a few days and this morning is unable to talk (she usually talks my head off).. Otherwise she's her normal purring, snuggly self.. Does this sound familiar?

I am concerned for her and will call the vet tomorrow but just curious if anyone else has an idea what it could be or what to do in the meantime.. I'm thinking its just a common cold but my kitty has never been sick for more than a day before and I'm a bit worried.

Also, does anyone know of a website like boxerworld for cats?

I would call a vet. She may need an antibiotic. Also, think about what, if anything has changed around your house. I have a cat that is allergic to laytex paint. She would get cold-like symptoms every time we painted the house. She would sneeze constantly and had a runny nose. She would look absolutley miserable. I woudl take her to the vet, he woudl put her on an anitboitic ans she was fine. The last time that happened, though the vet finally put it together and asked us if we had painted anything in the house. We finally figured out that that was causing the problem. So, now I send her to my parents house for a couple days when I paint. She has not had that problem since.

She's feeling better now..

I called the vet yesterday and asked about it since she's never had cold-like symptoms before. The vet responded that if it's just a cold the symptoms will often go away on their own (and they did). I asked at what point should I be concerned and bring her in, and the vet basically told me that if that's the only thing and the cat seems otherwise healthy, she's most likely ok. If she starts to exhibit unusual behavior (not typical of what they normally do) then they need to see her.
