Casey won't eat

I have no clue what is going on. About 2 months ago we switched her from Pedigree to Purina One. Everything was going good then about a week or more ago she just turns her nose up at it. I've even tried feeding her chicken, pasta and veggies. She ate the meat only. So we go back to Pedigree last night. I figure she would tear into it, nope =( This morning I notice she has crusty eye boogers, normally they are just little eye boogers. This normally wouldn't bother me but when Brandy was sick with lymphoma her eye boogers were crusty and she didn't want to eat either. Am I being a worry wart given my past boxer experience? Could it be the allergies, since everything is covered in pollen here? If it doesn't get better she's going to the vet.

I'll be the first and very most likely not the last to say that you might want to visit this webpage: http://www.dogfoodanalysis.com/ and reevaluate feeding Purina One. The reason she could be turning her nose up is because she knows she'll get something better if she waits...or she could just really not like the food. Before we knew better we were feeding our pups Iams and they didn't like it. We now feed Royal Canin Sensible Choice and because my girl has allergies we are swithing to Natural Balance. Speaking off, the eye issues are probably stemming from allergies and the food isn't helping balance those issues. If she's showing other allergy symptoms (scratching, itching, chewing paws) you may want to consider switching to a more allergy friendly food.

Definately check the site referenced by the previous poster.

Pedigree and Purina are terrible foods. She is more that likely allergic to something in the food. You could also do a search here on BW to get ideas on what other members feed their boxers that have allergies.
