Owen and I met with yet another vet (just for a visit to meet him) over the weekend (still on the mission for a vet I really like and one to neuter Owen).
Anyway one of the things he suggested that we do that no other vet suggested was to give him Carnitine daily b/c they can get Cardiomyopathy and that can help. I was going to research this also but wanted to see what you guys thought. Have you heard to give a young puppy this (he’s almost 7 months)? I’ve heard of doing this to a dog that already has a heart problem but not as an everyday thing when there is no problem…

I personally would be very wary of giving a puppy medication for a condition that he doesn't actually have. Cardiomyopathy isn't so common that you can 'assume' he'll develop it - so no surprise that no other vet has suggested it ;)
