I want to express my sincere thanks to all of you who have offered your support, good wishes and prayers to our family. It really does warm my heart to read your messages and it makes me even more proud of our Carley than I already was. Before we lost Carley, I couldn't even bring myself to look at this section of Boxerworld. Losing her was something I tried not to let myself ever think about.
Many of you have lost precious babies as well and my heart goes out to all of you. I want to believe (and I DO believe!) that Carley is in a very happy place, eating pig ears for dinner (something I wouldn't have let her do) and playing like crazy with Dakota, Tossie, Lexus, Morrissey, Cadence, Isabelle, Roxy, Fritz and Ruckus, and many more loveable, crazy boxer dogs.
And then there are those who wrote to me that have not experienced a loss like this yet and have the courage to come here and share our grief and offer your support. Thank you. I will make it a point to visit here often and support others with their loss of a loved one in the future.
We will take what Carley taught us about her special breed and pass all of it onto our baby, Molley. She's very different than Carley was when she was a little baby. She actually seems to like her crate and sleeps most of the night? Go figure! She will 'sit' on command (for a treat, of course!) at 7-1/2 weeks and runs to the door and rings the bells. I'm sure she doesn't understand that yet but I have a feeling that she will in a very short time.
Getting a new pup so soon has helped so much when it comes to the shock factor of what we experienced. However, she's such a handful and I was getting spoiled because Carley was getting so much easier. Some of you know exactly what I'm talking about.
Anyway, I just wanted to acknowledge all of your messages and tell you 'thank you.' You all have really helped us so much.
