So my new Cinnamon has vomited twice during car rides in the 4 days that she's been with me. The first was right after she was spayed so it didn't worry me too much. But today on the way to the park she did it again. She hasn't done it outside of the car. If it is just car sickness, does it go away? I would hate to not have her go places with me

Other than those two instances, she's been eating fine so i really don't think its her food. I feed her Natural Choice for large breed puppies.

Has anyone had similar experiences?

Billy has never been car sick - but my Rottie, Tommy, was carsick until he was about 2.5 to 3 yrs.

Thankfully now he is 4 he appears to have outgrown it and can even make a 6 hr journey to Scotland.

So hopefully Cinnamon will outgrow this.

When Sunny was a pup she would get car sick alot. I spoke with the vet and he said just be sure not to feed her before she rides in the car. It's worked ever since!! I feed her as soon as we get home!!

Ginger will Alleviate motion sickness( feed a couple of gingersnap cookies one or two hours before traveling), and just make sure she doesnt have a huge meal before you head out on your journeys.

My girl is not carsick - but she has vomited once or twice in the car. Usually it's when she gets overly excited about the car ride. Any chance she's just getting too worked up?

I wouldn't worry about it too much. Even if it is carsickness, perhaps it will get better!

I don't think there is a clean spot left on the back seat!!

Krose used to get car sick so bad, he would throw up several times during a 20 minute drive. He will be 3 this summer, he's gotten used to the rides;)

Your boxer will outgrow this. When Ginger was a pup, she got sick a lot. They say you should take them out for little trips, like around the block, then increase the minutes of the trip and they should not get carsick. I say take your pup for plenty of rides. She will be fine.
