I was just wondering if Canidae is ok for puppies? My Rylie is now on Nutro Natural Choice large breed. I know it says all ages so I shouldn't be even asking if it's ok. But has anyone else had luck with their puppy on it (shiny coat, actually eating it) Thanks! ;)

For Canidae to be labeled *for all life stages*, it must meet the standards for feeding a puppy.

I don't think you will be disappointed in the food. All my dogs love it, and I am very pleased with the results.

Hey Pam~

My puppies name is Rylie. We first spelled it different but everyone took her for a male. So we switched the spelling for a more *girlie* look. We have had her for a little over a week now. She is doing soooo well. Housetraining is going super and she even has learned sit already. She is very smart and ready to learn. My cousin is also picking up a male boxer today. He looks like he could be her brother but there isn't any relation. I think they are going to name him Duncan. There dog Chelsea just passed away a few days ago. My other cousin has 2 older Boxers (Falon and Samson) so we are just going to have to have a boxer play group. She is my first puppy since my Boxer Molly passed away 2 years ago. So it's just a joy to have Rylie around. I fed Molly Solid Gold, but have heard so many positive things about Canidae that I figured I should get some reviews on it.

Our boxer will be 10 months old next month and will be changing from his currnet feeding (we feed him Precise) to adult feeding.I have done alot of research in the site and have narrowed my choices down to canidae and wellness, but am leaning toward canidae.I have checked with my local pet shop and they always have both in stock. Was looking for some feedback as to what everyone feels regarding these two brands.George is very big-they have been controlling his weight gain and watching his weight very carefully as he was putting on weight very quickly even feeding the foods for large breeds. He currently has slowed down and is now close to 60 pounds, but the vet says he has yet to put on the real muscle mass that he has been holding him back on until he is 10 months old.He takes after his granddad who was a champion and weighed 92 pounds-his dad weighs 72 pounds-he has already surpassed his Mom in weight and height!
Thanks for all your support.

We are currently switching Casper (5 mo. old) over from Innova to Canidae and he is doing very well. We just got Chloe (9 weeks old) a few days ago and are also switching her from Iams to Canidae. They puppies love it!

I just wanted to post an update to my Canidae question. I went to my local pet store and purchased a 40 1b bag (brave I know but all the good reviews it seemed safe) I gradually have been mixing the nutro with Canidae. My little Rylie picks the Canidae pieces out first and leaves most of the Nutro. Her stools are no longer loose AMEN! And she does go #2 he he a lot less than she used to. She seems to really like it a lot. Thanks to everyone that posted what they thought of it. My pet store/grooming place carries all the wdj top brands and it's nice to know that the owner feeds Canidae over all the others. That says a lot in itself. Thanks everyone fiesta1ico

Much better than soft, shiny droppings and a solid coat! :p
