Caney Creek

Boxer Insane
Caney's been due for this surgery for a few months now, and the date has been set to the 23rd. I am taking off work that day so I can drop her off in the morning and hang close by the clinic until she's done. I'm assuming she'll be a bit drowsy when I pick her up, and no doubt she'll need an e-collar to keep her tongue away from the incision....

I was just wondering if anyone has any advice to share on how to keep her from her usual routine (running wild through the house/yard) while she's still healing?? How many days should I take off to be with her? Can she be left in her crate with the e-collar on?

Thanks everyone!

Boxer Insane
Hi! Laila was just spayed on the 26th of Dec at 7 1/2months...My vet kept her overnight an I picked her up the next morning..(she actually was done late in the afternoon) I thought she was going to be subdued, but she was actually ready for action...she did sleep a little more the day I brought her home but was back to baseline the next day....as much as we tried to keep her quiet it was useless...my vet said she didn't need a collar and she was fine...her sutures came out yesterday and she did great....I am sure your baby will be fine (although I was a nervous wreck and I am sure you will be too!) Let us know how you make out!!!...Barbara lovicon
