I have a question that I'm concerned with regarding a boxer that belongs to someone else that, well, we won't go there. Anyway, my hubby & I own a lawn maintenance biz & one of our customers has a boxer, female puppy maybe between 6-8 mths old, well at the beginning of the season she said the boxer was really sick but wouldn't tell us what the problem is, this woman has 7 dogs of all different breeds, & 1 we haven't seen in weeks, they are all kept outside cause "they are absolutely not allowed in the house". Sorry, I'll try & shorten this story, last week we noticed how skinny the boxer was (all the dogs have to fend & forage for themselves, she does not feed or even give water:mad: ) this week when we went there, hubby said look how much fatter the boxer looks. I sat down in the shade & the boxer (I don't remember her name Brandy?) came over to me, I started petting her & I ran my hand down her back & down her back leg, she jumped but didn't yipe, so I did it again & she jumped again but that time I felt lumps, so then I used both hands on both back legs & one side had bigger lump while the other side had several smaller lumps & she kinda went away from me so I couldn't touch her it hurt I told my hubby I bet she has cancer, so now, if any of you have had the unfortunate experience of cancer in your boxer, I know everyone has different experiences, but would you think this is cancer? It just makes me sick to think this dog could be this sick & left outdoors to fend for itself cause she is so damn ignorant & I cannot do anything about it. I have called the humane society in her county last year to report animal abuse at her place but they wouldn't let me do it anominously(sp?). My hands are tied, unfortunately we cannot afford to loose her as a good paying customer ($1000 per mth-she has alot of acres) but it kills me to let her get away with this.

Sorry so long

You have to report her or get someone else to do it for you, those dogs cannot live like that. Please find someone to do it for you or even contact your local boxer rescue maybe they will do it for you.

Please, please don't ignore this animal abuse! Please get them reported. No food or water, the animal control will end up taking those boxers away. Then, you can get them vetted or find a humane society or rescue to vet them and care for them.

I can't believe how cruel some "owners" are to their furkids.

I agree, report this abuse (neglect) a.s.a.p. If they have to forage for food and water it might not be cancer, but 100 other problems and you can bet the dogs get no vet care from what you describe. This baby needs to be seen by a vet and the Humane Society can see to that. It could be anything from severe worms to extreme hunger (bloated), lumps can be from ingesting foreign or poisonous things just because it is so hungry. A call to the right place will help her, as well as all the other dogs. Be this baby's Angel.
