Can you mix raw and kibble, or canned?

I am currently feeding BooBoo 3 Nature's Variety patties a day. She's only 40 pounds... 3 patties is more than the chart says--- my vet would like to see her gain some weight, so I need to up the amount I am feeding her- but, it's going to be so expensive. She has a VERY sensitive tummy, so I'm not even sure I could sneak in kibble or canned... Nature's Variety has both kibble and canned, I would go with that brand. Can I mix?

I wouldn't mix the raw with kibble. I understand that it is digested at a different rate and it could upset her tummy terribly. We feed Luke a beef mix that we get from the butcher $0.50 cents a pound and we buy pork necks and lamb necks. He weighs 65 LBs and our food bill is about $60 per month.
You could probably do it cheaper using chicken and turkey necks. We don't feed poultry b/c Luke is allergic.

Maybe you could look into a different type of food that would cost less. I find that its way cheaper to make your own raw than purchasing the premade stuff.

Yes, I think that the cheapest option would be for you to give her chicken necks or backs in addition to the patties. I can get a 40lb case of chicken backs for $22, and that would last you a very long time.
You could possibly feed kibble as a separate meal but I really wouldn't suggest you go that route as I bet it would not agree with her.

Do not mix kibble and raw. It's not just an upset tummy. Kibble slows down the digestion of the raw meat, which will leave your dog vunerable to bacteria that normally would be killed off if digested alone. So if you want to add kibble, feed it in a different meal.
Honestly I would ditch the premade and just go homemade, it's much cheaper.

Just to echo what the others have already said, it's not advised to feed raw with kibble because of the different digestion rates. However, some people do feed both raw and kibble for seperate meals. If you choose to go this route, it's best to feed the raw meal in the morning and the kibble meal at night. This gives the kibble more time to digest overnight.
