Can you be too old to adopt a puppy?

Thanks for all of your replies. I just wanted to let you know the outcome is we are getting the fawn male puppy "Padlock" this Saturday. We decided we do have the time, desire and patience to raise a new pack member. Maybe down the road we will be interested in a rescue boxer. I will keep you posted on the puppy matters forum.

Yes indeed we forget what it was like having a new puppy. I am 55 and Addy is now 12 weeks old we too lost our soon t be 9 yr old to cancer in Feb. My husbands thing was going thru losing another boxer and being older but you just read the outcome....a new baby girl. She keeps me busy but I love every minute of it. I pray I will always be able no matter what age to have the love of a boxer...Congratulations!!

My parents are older and they just got a puppy also. My mom is always teasing that she doesn't have the energy but it's too late. He has her wrapped already. When she needs a little help, she takes him to my sis' house so her boxer can tire him out playing.
