In case you don't already know or if you're just wondering, Riley is neutered. I'm not asking you to do this because I intend on breeding him nor to show him. It's more or less to know where he would stand if I was hoping to get him into the show ring. I'd also like to know so I can explain what his faults are to those annoying people who still insist that I was crazy for neutering such a "gorgeous dog".

I have several photos of him in my gallery, but I'm not quite sure if the pictures would be appropriate quality for judgements. If you need better photos, just explain which shots you're looking for and I'll try to get them.

Thanks!! :)

Oh, I forgot to mention that he's only 8 months old so I know he's clearly not finished growing yet. Now that I think of it, he's probably not even old enough to judge 100% is he (because he's still got growing to do)??

The best picture to evaluate would be a show stack - front legs straight under shoulders, rear legs placed so that knees are directly under hips about a paws' width wider than the front, head up, neck arched, ears forward, with him "up on his toes." If you can take this from the side, front and rear that would be great.

Of course, pictures only tell a portion of the story but you'd probably get some idea!

He is young, though, and from the pics you have up I would guess he still has some growing and changing to do. He has a sweet face! :)

Thanks Julie!! That sweet face suckers me more times than I'd like to admit!! ;)

He is only 8 months old so he does have quite a bit of growing left to do, but you're right, I'd at least get an idea. I'll definitely try to get a pose like that. Don't know how I'll get it, but I'll try. I'll get someone to help me so we can both work on it. :)

Thanks DeeJay - Like I said it's not a big deal because Riley's already neutered so he's not going to breed nor be in the show ring. It's just a matter of fun for me I guess to know where he stands according to the breed standards. :)

I still think he's perfect as is though!!! ;)
