Awww i just love the woo woos. My two girls don't do that howling one much, but Copper boy does it quite frequently..we call it the fog horn LOL.
Right out of nowhere, he just cocks his head back, puckers up and wooooooooooooooos until he runs out of air. Too cute!!

Congrats on your first Wooo..appicon The woo is my one of favorite boxer traits.. Our Beloved Riley used to woo all the time.. I think I was the only one in my family that liked his woo wooing cause he was quite relentless at times. But for some reason it always made my heart smile when he sang his boxer song.
Cody (4months) doesn't woo he just seems to make a chubacca sound like he is being fresh and letting you know he is protesting by talking back, but it doesn't sound like a woo at all. I've even done the woo too him to see if he would get the idea <G> he just looks at me like I'm silly ( as if.. ) and tilts his head. So enjoy your new singer.. cause as I've read on other post not all Boxers woo. so in a way its kind of special..

Axl would never join in with the rest of the dogs wooing. Then one day my son walked in the room playing a harmonica. Axl stopped chewing his bone, put his head up, and let out the most soulfull, perfect, woo woo I've ever heard. Not frantic, or excited, just smooth and even pitched. When he was done he put his head down and went back to his bone. It was beautiful!
