following a blood test i have been told y'day that my dog (11 months) has calazar/leishmania. does anybody have any experience of this? on friday i am going to the vet to learn how to give her injections (apparently i will have to do this for 40 days) and then it is medication for life. i am trying to find some information on this disease on the internet, can anybody help direct me to a site? also my dog has epilepsy and is on phenobarbitol (gardenal tablets) - i asked my vet whether the calazar medication might spark her off having fits again (ie: interfere with the phenolbarbitol), he wasn't sure if this might happen, can anybody advise on this? thank you
