Harley Girl has been dragging her butt across the floor for the past couple days. She isn't trying to wipe off her butt as if it had poop, cause she isn't dragging that part on the floor. She is dragging her vagina, and it's more like she itches. So maybe a yeast infection? Any ideas on what it could be?

Most commonly when a dog "scoots" the reason is either impacted anal glands, or parasites (worms). It doesn't preclude the possibility that she could be itchy around the vaginal area though. I'd suggest that a vet to take a look is probably the wisest course of action ;)

Well I'm convinced its vaginal. She isn't dragging her butt so that her glands would get the pressure. And she was attacked by a dog tonight, and while I was looking her over I rolled her on her back to take a look and her vagina is a little bloody, seems like she rubbed it raw and then made it bleed a little bit. So I guess we are going to the vet next week. And while we are there I can have the vet check out this punture wound from the attack. It wasn't dripping blood, but it is a little deep and I am concerned about her getting an infection.

She is not spayed yet, but that's not it because she went into heat over a month ago. Unless having gone into heat can have latent issues.

Just home from the vet. It's either a urinary tract infection, or a vulvar infection. She can't tell which one since I collected the urine instead of waiting for them to do a catheter - save some money! But she says they would be treated the same anyway.

But she did say her glands were pretty full, so she expressed them - spend some money!

And her puncture wound is not infected. But she is on antibiotics anyway. But at least I know she is ok. What's $140 when it comes to my baby's health!

most likely her anal sacs are filling up
i empty them myself now
very easy to do takes to seconds
if ur worried watch video on youtube before u try ur first time but honestly its nothing
put on gloves
lube it up with vasoline
put index finger into anus
curl it behind (5 and 7 oclock) both sacks and use ur thumb from the outside
give little bit of pressure and rub around in circles
youll feel it secrete out onto ur fingers and slowly empty to nothing
might come bak so check again in week or two
a good sign is that their breath is getting fishy!!
dont waste your money bringing them to vet for this
takes 2 minutes and its painless

if the liquid is thick then could be infection or impaction
it should be pretty liquidy
