My boxer, Bob (7-1/2 years old) has started burying his treats in the cushions of our furniture. Has anyone experienced this - he's buried stuff in our yard before, only to dig it up in the spring, but this is the first time he's tried it in the house. Any responses?

Hi and Welcome!:D

I hope one of the other members has some insight, our Nash doesn't do this at all.

I really only wanted to welcome you, do you have any pics of Bob? Looking forward to more stories, he sounds like quite the joker!:p

Rocky is a burier (sp) he buries everything! If you give him a bone that he really likes or doesn't finish right away, off he goes to bury it. He buries things in towels, furniture, carpet, pillows. You name it, it probably had a bone in it. The only thing with him is that he will bury it, go away for a minute come back and get then find somewhere else to bury it. When he has exhausted all avenues he runs around the house whining because he doesn't have anywhere to go! Silly goob! So that gets old after a while and we end up taking the bone and giving it to him at another time. Also when in his crate he buries his toys and plays with them when we come home. If you do a search I think you will find a poll posted on this once. Alot of boxers bury things, of course it does get tiring  but it is something you just deal with! Provided they are not doing damage to things

When our brindle was a pup, she used to take all the bows off the Christmas packages and bury them in the backyard.. :D
