Hi

Freya our 8month bitch decided it would be clever to sniff the oven the other day.

She now has a small pink mark on her nose.

Does anyone know if this will turn black again in the future??
Or if it could have any long term damage

Oh poor baby :(
I've stopped cooking on the front 2 rings of my hob in case the dogs jump up and knock a pan off or burn their paws.
Hope she's ok.

Leila did the same thing at at few months of age. I thought it would be a little scar forever, but it eventually turned black again after many months.

Piper Ann and Riley have both scratched various black parts of their bodies at various times hard enough to leave pink spots. They're usually black again in a few weeks for me, but we've never had a burn.

Kisses for Freya's poor little nose!

Thank you for all your kind words reassuring us about Freyas nose. We feel alot better knowing it should go back to normal in the future.

She is such a pretty little thing and we worried it was going to be pink for good.

Molly went in to be spayed and she came back to us with a good sized scratch on the end of her nose. (We joked that the doctor didn't know which end to operate on) Anyway, I guess they scratched her with a tool when they were looking down her throat at her soft pallete (long story- don't ask)

Point of the story, it's a month later and the scratch is gone, all back to black again.
