He has red bumps almost like blisters under his chin, they look like their bloody inside. There is only like 4 or 5 bumps. Has anyone ever had this problem with their dog? I haven't called the vet yet, i wanted to see if there was anyone on here who had the same problem. Any advice would be great, thanks.

It could be "puppy pimples" my Jesse had them at one time. We were feeding him out of a plastic container. We switched his food container to a metal one and they went away in a few weeks. (read about doing that on here I think)

He has had a stainless steel bowl since we got him and I noticed the bumps a couple of weeks ago but didn't think much about it. I noticed again last night and thought I should ask since they hadn't gone away.

A co-worker told me to try Benedryl and see if that helps. Has anyone tried that before?

My vet has me use benedryl with my girls to reduce swelling and itching...don't know if I would self medicate or not. Have you changed laundry detergent or food lately?.....I believe it was posted on another thread that there is a canine acne also?

I brought Barron to the vet for red pimples underneath his chin and was prescribed DermaPet TrizEDTA, which is a topical lotion. I was told that these pimples occur when the boxer's chin rubs up against a plastic toy or item during play, so I took away the plastic toys, treated his chin, and the pimples disappeared!

Hi,

My Bruno had a bumpy rash under his chin. The vet said it was acne. He told me to use regular pimple cream and he prescribed an antibiotic and it went away.
