Well, we ended up taking Rocky to the vet yesterday after all. He was given antibiotics for the hives he's scratched open. It turns out we weren't giving him even close to the amount of benadryl or chlor (not sure of spelling) we should have been. So I'll be interested to see if they help him now that we have the proper dosage. Our vet gave me some info on allergy testing. VERY expensive. $500-600 for the testing and then after a serum is made for him, he'd have to have an injection every 3 weeks or so - forever! If he doesn't get any relief in the next couple of weeks we'll have to try food elimination. Sounds like a nightmare. Good Luck to everyone and their allergy suffering babies! It sounds like there's a lot of us.
