bumps everywhere

Hi, I woke up at 4 am to my little Lexi having bumps all over her body! She's never had them, and in the summers it never seems like she has a reaction to the mosquitos. My other dog doesn't have any bumps on him like this. They itch her too. Any idea of what this might be?

Sounds like hives, which is commonly a reaction to something either ingested that doesn't agree with the dog, insect bites, or some other allergen.

You can give her a little benedryl to help settle things down. From there it's a matter of seeing whether they return, and if so, to narrow down the cause. Bug bites or environmental allergies might be the most likely cause, given that it's springtime.
