Bumps and Bruises!

I was just wondering how many of you have gotten bumps, bruises, and cuts from your babies? Last night when my hubby and I got home from work, I let our babies out of their crates. When I do that, they go crazy saying hi to us. Well our boy Kaiser was in the living room with his dad and our girl was in with me. Well I kept patting my girl on the butt and telling her " Go see Dad" and she would just fly in to him and bounce around. We did this a few times and finally when I did it the last time, my hubby was on his knees with Kaiser and she ran in and just head butted him in the mouth. Knocked him completely backwards on the floor!!! LOL I got hystercal. Well, he gets up with his hand over his mouth ( I thought uh oh) and he came in the kitchen... hand full of blood. I felt bad of course, but I still had to giggle (to myself) heehee. Needless to say he didn't need stitches or anything, but he sure has a fat lip today. She has left many bumps and bruises on him, but I'm too chicken, she's too rough for me.

Ronin likes to peck us with his muzzle. He does it when he wants to play - I've gotten bruises from how hard he pecks! One day, I was just sitting there staring at him. Well, we all know how much Boxers hate to be stared at - he pecked me right smack in the nose. I thought I had broken my nose he hit me so hard. (was not the case however) It really was my fault anway - I DO know better than to stare down a Boxer :D

Last night must have been the night for head butts ! We were playing with the kids in the living room,I was on the loveseat playing with Cissy.She kept trying to give me hugs.I'm not sure who moved first but she popped me with her paw right in the throat-lost my breath for a sec.So every one regroups and dh is roughhousing the boys,Cissy runs back to me,tries to jump up in my lap and brings her head right up under my chin and slams me square.All I could hear was my teeth grinding and bells going off in my head. Mind you,I've been dealing with a major toothache for the past week-this didn't help--at all. Now I have a cracked tooth and the headache finally went away.For such a little s@#$^t-she sure packs a wallop !!! But the "I'm sorry Mommy" lovin's I got after was worth it Crazy little girl !!

I can't even count the minor injuries Beau has inflicted on me. I'll name a few...head butt to the lip, ramming into my forehead while he was trying to jump onto the bed, several boxes to the side of the head...I could go on and on. It's dog on human abuse around here!!!

How good is it that you started this thread cuz boy what happened here earlier should have been caught on tape!! It starts with a teenager, a 15mth old male brindle boxer, and a bad cuz! So, teenager comes home from school...boxer greets him with wiggles and bad cuz in his mouth...teenager takes the cuz...boxer objects and "hammers" teenager with both front paws to the groin...teenager drops the cuz and goes down on knees...boxer quickly grabs the cuz firmly in his jaws and swiftly turns left and proceeds to bump heads with teenager (who is now in a partial fetal position, but still on his knees)!! Boxer comes out unscathed and is now contently sleepping with bad cuz. Teenagers' swelling of the brow bone has gone down significantly and he is ecpected to stop talking like an 8yr old girl by morning. Mothers chances of becoming a future Grandmother...still uncertain.

This is too funny!
My teenagers know better than to go near Spud when he's in "playful" mode. He gets a certain look in his eye like he's spoiling for a fight, so we all keep clear! He is the master of sneaking up behind us, though, so we all have a nice collection of bruises...those paws can really pack a punch!

well, i have to jump in here. my dearest Bo has given several bumps and bruises and has caused some more serious injuries as well. Last year, the night after christmas, my skin babies decided to stay up all night. around 4 AM they go tumbling onto the bed and onto Bo. Bo wakes up and jerks her head, hitting my youngest daughter, then 10, in the mouth. Talk about a busted lip! took 6 stiches to close her lip and she'll have a permanent scar.

Brietta took it like a great sport and will tell you today that it was her fault for dropping on a sleeping dog like that. but you really need to be aware that these guys are very powerful animals. i don't think they would ever intentionally hurt us, but at times, they don't know their own strength.

Watch the paws!

Funny, I was just talking about this today! Jada is very "affectionate" with her paws! If you are sitting or lying down and you are petting her you'd better be watch those paws or your liable to get one in your face! Sometimes she jumps up on my sons bed to help me wake him up in the morning and I have to watch those paws closely so he doesn't get it in the eye! haha just a lot of love though!

We've had ER visits

Nate has caused a lot of harm to my DH, almost two months ago he tripped DH and he fell and broke his finger, then last Sunday he accidently scratched DH in the eye. He tore all seven layers of his cornea. It was a very rough few days, but he was very quickly forgiven. Who knew our furbabies could be so dangerous.
