We just got our puppy yesterday at 9 weeks. Our vet check is Monday. While we were playing with him yesterday we noticed a little hairless bump on his head. Should we not be getting attached to this dog. Or is this common? It Really has us worried. I know we haven't had him long but my kids will be heart broken if we have to take him back. Any opinions or suggestions?

I have read in your forum about bumps and that it maybe mct. Has anyone heard of it in a pup this young?

It's probably just a bump or scrape from playing with his littermates. Relax and enjoy your new baby!

Certainly mention it to the vet on Monday but don't worry too much. Not all bumps are harmful. Could be a scrape from playing with his littermates or maybe a skin infection.

Definitely mention it to your vet if it bothers you! If it's not a large bump, but rather a small pimple sized one, it's probably just doggie acne. My male boxer had it on his head when he was a puppy. It's nothing to worry about.Congrats on your new baby!

Every thing went great the vet said it was nothing but we would keep an eye on it. It actually started to go down yesterday and is almost gone today.

I'm glad he's fine!

I used to freak out about bumps too, and I think my vet put it very well. "Boxers, they just like to grow things." Haha!
