Boxer Pal
We brought our newly rescued guy to the vet this morning to get a skin bump removed. (He's still there now. :( ) The rescue organization's vet chose not to check it out further, but our vet decided earlier this month it would be a good idea to aspirate, since the bump seemed to be changing shape and color just over a couple of weeks time. Turns out it isn't anything aggressive, but better to be safe than sorry.
When we brought him in this morning and asked that they not use ACE, we were surprised that the vet tech seemed unconcerned. She said they routinely use ACE on her boxer and she's never had a problem. Fortunately, we'd printed out the warnings, showed them to her, and insisted they not use ACE on Rico. We love this vet facility and we're trusting they will honor our request, but I'm surprised that so many years after the first studies and warnings came out, great vets are still unaware of the issue with ACE and brachycephalic breeds.
