Bullmastiffs??

Hello there,
I was thinking about getting another dog (the hubby doesn't know this yet) to play with Boz and I was looking at bullmastiffs. They are gorgeous dogs but I don't really know much about them. Does anyone have any information on this breed?

I only know they are gorgeous! The one whos lives not far away is lazy and fat but so nice, real couch potato, sorry I can't help.

I suggest that you do a search on Boxerworld as I know we have a few members how own bullmastiffs. And this breed was discussed a couple of times on this forum.

Mastiffs are great dogs.
Calm and loving and BIG!!!
But their life expectancy is around 10 years.

I saw an English Mastiff the other day at Petsmart and it was the most beautiful animal I have ever seen. And so nice and calma and kind.

The Bullmastiff is a wonderful breed, very calm, and intelligent, not to mention STRONG--- Rollerblades, bullmastiff, and tennis balls DON'T mix (Long story)! My neighbor has TWO of them, and we USUALLY go walking with them, or roller blading with them. They we not raised around kids, but delightfully accept them in my experience, though--- now they know that kids down wipe their mouths very well after a meal, and the first greeting is usually a huge sloppy kiss.

They're just all around wonderful animals, and I think a Bullmastiff, and a Boxer would make a good team.
