I am not really sure where to post this so if this is the wrong place I am sorry.

I was just wondering if anybody knew how or why the Bullenbeisser breed became extinct?

I thought it would be interesting to study further how our lovely boxers came about!

The bullenbeiser (meaning bull-biter), which disappeared in the late 1800s, did not go "extinct" for any particular reason, more of combination of things. It disappeared, in part because bull baiting was outlawed in Germany around this time, and some believe, in part because of the popularity of it's smaller decedent....the boxer. :)
