Boxer Pal
I've looked extensively for information on this mixed breed but haven't found much.

What do you guys think of a mix between a boxer and a bull breed(Bull Terrier or Staffordshire(English))?

How are they with children and as a watch/guard dog?

Health issues?

Many thanks

The problem with trying to find information on mixed breed dogs (*any* mixed breed) is that the traits they inherit from their parents vary considerably. In a mixed breed litter, the pups may look like one or other parent but not necessarily like each other... and that's just the looks. Sadly, in a mixed breeding there's no real way to tell which traits a puppy will inherit from it's parents. As in all breedings, a mixed breed puppy may get the best or the worst of it's parents' looks and personalities - but there is no reliable way of predicting that in advance. That's why pure breeds were invented, of course, to increase the odds of producing consistent traits within a breed ;) If you really want a boxer crossed with a bully breed, then you should read up on the traits of each breed and be prepared for a puppy that has a mix/selection of those traits.

We got Aspen from the pound and was told that she was a boxer (she looks like a boxer). As she is growing, we and our vet beleive that she has some Bulldog in her. She is great, but like moderator said, becuase of being mixed, it just depends on what traits are inherited!

We also got Bingo from a boxer rescue, and though he looks a lot like and has the personality of a boxer, he definitely has some staffordshire terrier mixed in there, you can see it in his face, and his long tail ;-). He is the sweetest dog I've ever owned, but we know we just got lucky, as again you can't ever tell which traits they will inherit from the two different breeds.
