Boxer Pal
My wife rescued a boxer/pit mix from alongside the road a year ago. The dog was about 4-5 months old and could not stand on her own because she was so emaciated. My wife picked her up, took her to our vet, then brought her home expecting to find her a new home. But I must admit that she remains a fantastic family member.
Her name is Ginger (Because she refused to lie on hard surfaces because her ribs were so "ginger" the first few days we had her). She is fawn with a black mask and the cutest black racing stripe from her head 2/3rds down her back on her spine.
My wife and I have become huge fans of boxers and will be the first to admit that our fears of "pit bulls" have been tremendously be minimized.
I post today for two reasons:
First, with a heavy heart, we need to find a new home for Ginger preferably to one with an existing male boxer and hope that there might some members of boxerworld who can help us better understand what new home is the optimal situation for our precious Ginger.
Second, I have read and learned a tremendous amount of knowledge about both the boxer breed and the American Staffordshire Terrier and feel that I can provide a somewhat "objective" view of this hybrid people refer to as a Bull Boxer. And I will provide my view of the pluses and minuses if members of the forum are interested.
And we absolutely love the website so Mr./Mrs. Boxerworld "GREAT JOB and Thanks"
